Let me break it down for you: Weddings tend to cost a lot.

Even the most frugal brides will have days/moments when they are planning and realize they completely forgot to budget for 'X 'expense. 'X' can be many things to many people. For some 'X expense' could be their marriage license or their wedding night suite. For some, their transportation or linen costs.... (*raises hand slightly*)

Regardless of what your 'x' expense is, I guarantee you'll have one! Good news, though! Not a designer, no worries, as they have amazing online templates to make your job a breeze! Wooo hooo!

This prize will free up some extra cash in your wedding budget AND give you the opportunity to get creative with your special day. Some of my ideas for the prize:
~Ceremony Programs
~Reception dinner menus

Our craziest "x"pense has been transportation! We could have rented 3 minivans for a week for the price of our Limo Bus! I never expected that ... errrr!

It's totally going to be my wedding dress accessories. I got my dress for a steal, but I can't even fathom the rest of the stuff that goes with it. Whoops.

While our wedding is still almost 6 months away, so far it's looking like the cake/cupcakes are going to be the craziest expense! Not compared to things like dresses, food, and alcohol, of course. But when you're a baker, settling for just any ordinary cake won't do. Plus, our venue is pretty far from many of my favorite bakeries in Pittsburgh! Can we say heft delivery charges? :)

While our wedding is more than a year away, we're finding our greatest "x" expense to be chair covers! Who would have thought they're sooo expensive!!!

Oh wow... Where do you begin?! I'd say my "x" expense came with the honeymoon... I guess that makes it more of my fiance's "x" unfortunately :)

So neither my fiance nor myself have EVER been anywhere interesting (think Kansas for him- I was lucky enough to make it to New York) so we of course have never owned a passport! After multiple trips to the passport office (turns out my birth state SC gives birth certificates that don't really count), visits back to SC to find the DO Vital Records, and a huge ordeal, we were FINALLY able to order our passports. Unfortunately, by this time we had to expedite our passports.

That ended up costing almost $500 NOT including gas, travel, and headaches :)

Oh and let's add on that they somehow lost my passport via snail-mail and it was sent BACK to the department to be sent back to me again... WHEW!!!

My wedding is four months away, but so far the greatest "x" expense is stamps. Yopu think about the stationery you are going to need for the wedding but you don't think about the fact that you stamps for each thing you send out, which can be quite a bit depending on how heavy your invitation is. So far we have spent almost $100 on stamps and that was just for the save the dates, I can't imagine how much our invitation stamps will be.

My craziest expense has been photography! Maybe I should have been a wedding photographer not a teacher! Who knew you could make several thousand dollars in one day??!

Our craziest 'X'spense has definitely been the honeymoon. I am quite frugral on everything else, but the cost of relaxation can be quite pricey.

Our biggest "x" that we didn't see coming was the crazy prices of little things - i.e. it was a dollar per invitation to have the return addresses printed on them, and another dollar to have the address printed for the RSVPs. We ordered 150 invites, so that's $300 on PRINTING OUR ADDRESS.

Love the idea of saving more on my budget wedding. Needing all the help I can get since I am motherless - my mom passed away when I was in high school. My email: sacwedding2012@yahoo.com

My craziest X-pense would most likely be the reception venue and the accompanying vendors (food, decor, beverages) My absolute dream wedding would be hosted at the Breakers in Palm Beach, but that is a dream not yet realized because my wedding budget would wouldn't accommodate such a luxurious wedding venue. Alas, a girl can dream. But while working with a tight budget, I realized I'm going to need a prayer and a miracle to fit in my most beloved details of my perfect wedding day. I hope so very generous family or a really amazing giveaway will help me make my dreams a reality.

I am thinking my biggest wedding "x"pens will be all the last minute purchases for things that I have forgotten for my out-of-state wedding
